FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN RAPID RELEASE OF SPRING ENERGY CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE UNIT OR SERIOUS INJURY.

REAPPLY TENSION TO EXTENSION SPRING

These instructions apply only for the purpose of applying tension to either Standard Extension Springs or EZ-SET® Extension Springs. Please refer to the ‟C” diagrams on page 4 to confirm.

If door is in the down position and locked, unlock it now so it can be lifted.

Placing hands on bottom of door, carefully raise door to fully open position (Fig. 1).

TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY, USE TWO OR MORE HELPERS TO ASSIST YOU IN RAISING DOOR. IN GENERAL, GARAGE DOORS CAN BE EXTREMELY HEAVY. TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY, KEEP HANDS AND FINGERS CLEAR OF SECTION JOINTS, TRACK AND OTHER DOOR PARTS WHILE THE DOOR IS OPENING.

While holding door in open position, place C-clamps or locking pliers on both sides of track below bottom roller to keep door from rapidly and dangerously closing (Fig. 2).

With door in full open position, attach looped end of lift cable to garage door bottom bracket button (Fig. 3).

Remove C-clamps or locking pliers from track and carefully close door.
